Blue-green algae has been confirmed on Eagle Lake by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. The bacteria bloom has not yet occurred; but with the current weather conditions it is possible. Park visitors are advised to watch out for blooms and refrain from swimming in the lake or consuming fish from the lake. The blue-green algae present in the lake does not affect the water system within the park as it draws from a groundwater source. Water from park taps is safe for consumption.
