Staff offer natural heritage and ecology education programs
on site and a voyageur canoe tour.
Fishing
Walleye, northern pike, bass, herring, catfish and perch are
among the fish you might catch in the lakes of Samuel de Champlain.
The cool, deep waters of Long Lake support a brook trout fishery,
but you will more likely tussle with a rock bass.

Canoeing
Mattawa River 64 km (2-3 days) 11 portages, Class C
This river has a strong current but little white water.
Wildlife Viewing
Wildlife includes moose, wolves, bear and white-tailed deer
and more than 200 species of birds and waterfowl such as loons,
common mergansers, black ducks and wood ducks.
Boating
Motorboats are prohibited on Long Lake, the source of the
park's drinking water. Moore Lake is restricted to boats of
10hp or less.
There is a boat launch and docking facilities.
Boaters can also access Mattawa River where motorboats are
permitted.
Swimming
Sand dunes and a pebble beach slope into water that is deep
in spots. Change facilities and a buoyed area make this park
ideal for a family swim.
Winter Activities
The park is great for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
