In addition to guided walks, children's programs, evening slide talks, movie nights and other natural heritage programs, Neys offers special interpretive weekends. Superior Sand and Sun is a yearly interpretive weekend event in mid-July that ties in with Lake Superior Day and Parks Day. Neys Nostalgia Days, traditionally held on the second weekend in August, gives visitors a chance to meet the spirits of prisoners of war once held in this remote spot, voyageurs who passed by here, Canadian Pacific Rail navvies, loggers and fishermen.
