Backcountry
Murphys Point has 12 boat-in and two canoe-in campsites.

Fishing
For those with boats, Big Rideau Lake is home to lake trout and walleye. For those without boats, cast your line for bass and pike from the docks at the boat launch and Hogg Bay, and from the north shore of Loon Lake.

Canoeing
Hogg Bay-Rideau Lake-Loon Lake 12 km loop (1.5 hours) 2 portages, beginner to intermediate

Boating
Located on the Rideau Waterway, the park provides easy access to a boater's paradise. There is a boat launch and docking facilities.

Motorized boats are prohibited on Loon Lake and Hogg Bay.

Swimming
Three sandy beaches slope gently into shallow water. Buoyed areas and change facilities make them ideal for family swimming.

Cycling
Bicycles are allowed on the McParlan House Trail and gravel portions of the Silver Queen Mine Trail.

Winter Activities
From mid-December to the second week in March, you can cross-country ski along 20 km of groomed trails, snowshoe through the bush or take a winter walk, then warm up in two chalets in the park.
