This page provides an overview of scheduled opportunities for public involvement – both short and long term. General opportunities for involvement in the development of a management plan can be viewed in the Terms of Reference for the park management planning process.
The public will be invited to comment on significant policy proposals related to the Kawartha Highlands through the Environmental Bill of Rights (EBR) Registry, direct mail, and media notices as well as through this website. These opportunities will primarily occur in conjunction with the development of the park management plan. The Management Advisory Board is committed to continuation of public meetings starting in the spring of 2005.
Future stewardship programs or projects where individuals might assist us in gathering information on the Kawartha Highlands will be posted on this page as well.
If you are not already on the mailing list for the Kawartha Highlands and would like to receive mail directly related to planning for this site, please contact the office at the address below.
