Picnics and Day Use
Picnic along the edge of a 33 metre cliff or at the Backus Page
Museum. A sense of serenity and dignity pervades the centuries old
hardwood forest with its array of colourful wildflowers and place
in Ontario's history. The gift of its namesake, John E. Pearce,
the 68 hectare park is a special place for leisurely walks to the
lookout high atop the Lake Erie bluffs or picnic in the quiet shade
of the forest canopy. Visit the Backus Page Museum (circa 1850)
or hike along the trails behind this stately home.
