Fushimi Lake is ringed by a band of eastern white cedar, which in
turn is surrounded by a thick, boreal forest, dominated by spruce,
balsam, poplar and birch.
The narrow belt of cedar around the shoreline of the large lake
is broken only by several large rock outcrops, and at the mouth
of the Valentine River there is a stand of exceptionally large tamaracks.
Smaller plants in the park include stemless lady slipper and Indian
pipe. Raspberries are common in midsummer.
