
Natural Features
This hilly, protected environment lies off the beaten track. Geological features found here include a ground moraine deposited by the last glaciation, and middle to late Precambrian rocks, part of the central gneiss belt. The park's ecological diversity features extensive upland forests of Sugar Maple, Hemlock and Yellow Birch, and low-lying swamps, marshes and meadows.
Location: In the Muskoka region, accessible via water from
Bigwind Lake, or via Highway 118 east from Bracebridge, then north
along an unmaintained road. NOTE: No publicly maintained access is available.
