Hiking
Waterview Trail - 3
km (1 hour) easy
This short trial winds through a variety of habitats. From the beach
parking lot, the first half kilometre of this paved path is wheelchair
accessible. The trail follows the shoreline of Bass Lake to a boardwalk
across a marsh and past the remains of the homestead of Basil H.
Rowe who settled here in the 1830s. Look for wildlife as you follow
the overgrown stone fence then descend a hill created by a glacier
10,000 years ago.
